Stuffed Holiday Seitan

Stuffed Holiday Seitan

It is incredibly easy for us to head to the grocery store the day before Thanksgiving and picking up either a Tofurky roast or one of Gardein’s holiday products. I completely get it. However, why not try to make your own? Not only is it healthier, but it will taste just as good (even better).  Seitan is mainly made out of vital wheat gluten, which is the main protein of wheat. It is a great soy substitute and is incredibly easy to make. It may seem intimidating, but I was shocked myself with how easy it was.  Instead of making… View Post

Blueberry Zucchini Muffins

Blueberry Zucchini Muffins

How To: Tofu Scramble

I think Tofu Scramble is officially my most requested recipe yet on my blog. I have been wanting to share with you guys how I make my Tofu Scramble for awhile but I have yet to come around to doing it until now.  So if you already don’t know, I love Tofu. Like…LOVE! I thought Tofu was nasty, gross, and this large lump of soy that creeped me out.  I am glad to say that… View Post

Vegan Loaded Nachos

Vegan Loaded Nachos

Do you want to know something crazy? I have never ordered nachos at a Mexican restaurant before. It sounds strange I know, but before going Vegan nachos never interested me. I love chips, I love (vegan) cheese…It just is a combo that I never craved. Until now.  If you haven’t noticed, I love to create creamy cheesy sauces using vegetables. Specifically, using Cauliflower. It is virtually tasteless when boiled down however adds a great creaminess which blends perfectly with other flavors.  The truth: I hate red onions…I also hate cilantro. There is no cilantro in this recipe however it is… View Post

Sun Dried Tomato Pesto

I love Pesto and I love Sun Dried Tomatoes…So why not combine the two? Combined, they’re an amazing combination and I knew I had to share this recipe with you guys!  I love making the sauce a bit chunky and have pieces of the sun dried tomato that haven’t been fully blended up because it adds a great form of texture and taste.  I hope you enjoy and remember if you make this, tag me on instagram @plantbasedjane so I can see it!
